Now Thank We All Our God

Now thank we all our God
With heart and hands and voices
Who wondrous things hath done
In whom His world rejoices
Who from our mothers' arms
Hath blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love
And still is ours today

O may this bounteous God
Through all our life be near us
With ever joyful hearts
And blessed peace to cheer us
And keep us in His grace
And guide us when perplexed
And free us from all ills
In this world and the next

All praise and thanks to God
The Father now be given
The Son and Him who reigns
With them in highest heaven
The one eternal God
Whom earth and heaven adore
For thus it was, is now
And shall be evermore

Come Ye Thankful People Come

Come ye thankful people, come
Raise the song of harvest home
All is safely gathered in
Ere the winter storms begin
God our make doth provide
For our wants to be supplied
Come to God's own temple, come
Raise the song of harvest home

All the world is God's own field
Fruit unto His praise to yield
Wheat and tares together sown
Unto joy or sorrow grown
First the blade and then the ear
Then the full corn shall appear
Grant, O harvest Lord, that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be

For the Lord our God shall come
And shall take His harvest home
From His field shall in that day
All offenses purge away
Give His angels charge at last
In the fire the tares to cast
But the fruitful ears to store
In His garner evermore

Even so, Lord, quickly come
To Thy final harvest home
Gather Thou Thy people in
Free from sorrow, free from sin
There forever purified
In Thy presence to abide
Come with all Thy angels, come
Raise the glorious harvest home

O God, Beneath Thy Guiding Hand

O God, beneath Thy guiding hand
Our exiled fathers crossed the sea
And when they trod the wintry strand
With prayer and psalm they worshiped Thee

Thou heard'st, well-pleased, the song, the prayer
Thy blessing came and still its pow'r
Shall onward through all ages bear
The memory of that holy hour

Laws, freedom, truth, and faith in God
Came with those exiles o'er the waves
And where their pilgrim feet have trod
The God they trusted guards their graves

And here Thy name, O God of love
Their children's children shall adore
Till these eternal hills remove
And spring adorns the earth no more

O Lord of Every Shining Constellation

O Lord of every shining constellation
That wheels in splendor through the midnight sky
Grant us your Spirit's true illumination
To read the secrets of your work on high

You, Lord, have made the atom's hidden forces
Your laws its mighty energies fulfill
Teach us to whom you give such rich resources
In all we use to serve your holy will

You, Lord, have stamped your image on your creatures
And, though they mar that image, love them still
Lift up our eyes to Christ that in His features
We may discern the beauty of Your will

Great Lord of nature, shaping and renewing
You made us more than nature's sons to be
You help us tread with grace our souls enduring
The road to life and immortality

All Beautiful the March of Days

All beautiful the march of days
As seasons come and go
The hand that shaped the rose hath wrought
The crystal of the snow
Hath sent the hoary frost of heaven
The flowing waters sealed
And laid a silent loveliness
On hill and wood and field

O'er white expanses sparkling pure
the radiant morns unfold
The solemn splendors of the night
Burn brighter through the cold
Life mounts in every throbbing vein
Love deepens round the hearth
And clearer sounds the angel hymn,
"Goodwill to men on earth"

O thou from whose unfathomed law
The year in beauty flows
Thyself the vision passing by
In crystal and in rose
Day unto day doth utter speech
And night to night proclaim
In ever-changing words of light
The wonder of thy name

I happened onto this hymn and like the message it gives of the natural world.

God, Whose Farm is All Creation

God, whose farm is all creation
Take the gratitude we give
Take the finest of our harvest
Crops we grow that men my live

Take our plowing, seeding, reaping
Hopes and fears of sun and rain
All our thinking, planning, waiting
Ripened in this fruit and grain

All our labor, all our watching
All our calendar of care
In these crops of your creation
Take, O God, they are our prayer

Just found this hymn which looks to be for farmers.

Count Your Blessings

When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed
When you are discouraged thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done

Are you ever burdened with a load of care
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly
And you will be singing as the days go by

When you look at others with their lands and gold
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold
Count your many blessings money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high

So, amid the conflict whether great or small
Do not be discouraged, God is over all
Count your many blessings, angels will attend
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end

Now that November has arrived, I'll try to post hymns that have themes of the Thanksgiving season.

Blest Be the Tie That Binds

 Blest be tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above

Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers
Our fears, our hopes, our aims, are one
Our comforts and our cares

We share our mutual woes
Our mutual burdens bear
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear

When we asunder part
It gives us inward pain
But we shall still be joined in heart
And hope to meet again

Today is All Saints Day and this hymn is meant to commemorate that.
